What does your SUPPORT look like?
Having support while on your breastfeeding journey is extremely important. I don't know what I would do without the support of my husband, family and friends. When people say, "IT TAKES A VILLAGE" this is so true. Even if its a quick call to check in, a kind gesture to cook dinner, or a text with the words YOU ARE DOING GREAT. The support I get means a lot and definitely has helped me throughout this journey. Break time also known as "Mama Breaks" in my household are another great way that my family shows support. I take advantage of these especially when I'm exhausted from lack of sleep #momlife. I've learned that its OK to take 10 minutes to myself to breathe while dad or grandma entertains the little one. A good time for "mama breaks" are during bath time. I find that dad is pretty good at taking the lead when it comes to bath time. This gives me time to relax, pick up around the house, wash bottles etc... all while listening to daddy and baby interact with one another. Little breaks like these are a great form of support for me.
