The Lactating Mama Smoothie

First off, I hope you have started your day off with a SMILE!! I know its hard when you've been up off and on all night feeding, changing diapers and pumping, but remember the way you start your day can affect your whole day.

  I want to share my smoothie recipe with all interested. It’s all natural, taste great and really helped a lot on my journey.

 

The lactating mama Smoothie recipe:  This is the perfect recipe for mothers with sensitive babies. Many lactation teas have Fenugreek, Blessed Thistle and other seeds and herbs that your baby may be allergic too. Unfortunately, my daughter is allergic to fenugreek so many lactation teas and smoothie recipes on the market today were out for us. However, after a little trial and error I came up with a recipe that worked for me and my baby making it a win win.

1 banana

2-3 whole strawberries leaves/stems included

1 tablespoon of chia seeds

1 cup of unflavored coconut milk

1 cup of coconut water

Tablespoon of peanut butter

1/4 cup of whole oats

handful of spinach

and add ICE or water to your liking

Blend and enjoy!!
